December 11, 2006 (New York, NY) - Just when we thought the New York Jets were legitimate playoff contenders and the New York Giants were pretenders, the landscape in the NFL suddenly shifted yesterday. The Jets looked awful as the Buffalo Bills defense throttled Chad Pennington and his mates, while the Giants got three touchdown passes from Eli and a staunch defensive effort.



The Jets must now head to frigid Minnesota who is next to impossible to run against and this is going to put the game in the hands of Mr. Pennington and that is a dicey proposition. Considering all the negative press that the Giants have gotten, it will surprise many that they could be in a tie for first come Sunday night, if the Cowboys lose at Atlanta. Dallas must now travel to Georgia and a date with Mr. Vick and this is huge for both teams. Atlanta had an important victory on the road at Tampa Bay and now plays Dallas -3 as a home puppy.
